The Office was never a visually attractive movie, filmed in the cold, lifeless anti-colors of the cubicle office life. Subsequently, it never quite pops from the screen with any kind of, ahem, flair, and the HD transfer does little to heighten the detail or clarity, giving an inherent 2-D feels to the whole presentation. It does, however, eliminate almost any distracting noise or grain, placing the focus squarely on the comedy. Overall, this is a rather good transfer of a visually unimpressive film.

Score: 7 out of 10

I was pretty psyched to hear that they added the blu-ray section to their site, that is until I started reading the actual reviews themselves.

This however, is inexcusable no matter how you slice it.

i wouldn't say it's inexcusable. people make mistakes. the reviewers on this site have made typos and errors before too, just as writers have in usa today or the new yorker. it happens. i'm just personally not a fan of ign's bluray reviews because they seem "half-assed," but that's purely my opinion. they also have like 50 other sections to their website.
