Default Finally Watched It....And Love It!!!

Well, I finally watched Top Gun for the 1st time (yeah, i know) this last weekend. I really enjoyed it. Never knew Val Kilmer was in it until someone had said something a while back. I've caught a lot of crap for never seeing it b/c it's a "staple" or whatever you want to call it.

Have you ever finally watched a movie after being badgered about it long enough and really enjoyed it???

Almost Famous.

Yeah, almost 10 years after its release in September of 2000, I finally watched it, and now I love it...especially Kate Hudson's performance! I hope we see this on Blu-ray sometime this year!!

You can import it from the UK - the disc is less than $15 plus shipping costs. It's region free.

And yes, Top Gun is an awesome flick.

The Almost Famous (UK) blu-ray is less than ten pounds. I have the Japanese version, which is very good but much more expensive to import.

Blade Runner

I blind bought it last year and although it had a cast, genre, and reputation saying that I should have loved it...I just didn't get into it and sold it as used later.

It's about time.

The Mummy. I had a difficult time with it. It's quite horrible, actually.
They are also bugging me to watch SAW. That's never gonna happen.

LOVE this movie. I have/had (?!!?) the Special Edition that came out a couple years back, lots of extras, etc., but can't find it anywhere. And the BLU version is either an expensive import (on Amazon anyway), or hard to find.

Come on Cameron Crowe! Release the Deluxe BD Version Soon!!

Hard to find!? EXPENSIVE!? Are you purposefully ignoring the posts in this thread about it? Neither of those things are true about the Almost Famous Blu-ray import.

I just bought "Almost Famous" on Amazon UK...and w/ the two other flicks I bought....ended up averaging to $12/movie shipped to the U.S.

CAnt beat that with a hickory stick.

OH yeah...Top Gun...great movie. I still remember seeing it in the theaters and how huge it was at the time. Trivia...if you remember when it came out on VHS...it was the first movie on tape to include a advertisement on the tape (Pepsi I think)

I had Monster sitting in the rack for at least 6 months before I finally looked at it.
I totally enjoyed it.Excellent acting by Charlize Theron didn't believe it was her under all that make up.

i've had this blu-ray for some time and finally had time to watch it. Amazing sound effects using the surround sound from different speakers.

Also didn't realize there was so many "now famous" actors in there.
Really got a kick out of it when I saw Heroes Nathan Petrelli in there as Chipper. Never knew he was in that movie.
