It's sad that they couldn't do a double feature with it's sequel, 'Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows'. That would have made this a DOUBLE Blessing!

I really enjoy Trouble With Angels and I'll definitely be picking this up. My old DVD is 1.33:1, so it will be nice to finally have this in it's original aspect ratio, not to mention HD!

I was touring the HD lab at Sony almost 20 years ago... Their task was to create HD digital archives of their entire catalog. Playing on a monitor was Trouble With Angels!

I splurged on the HD digital copy from Amazon a couple years ago. It is in 1.85.

Surprisingly, this has some poignant moments interspersed with the laughs. Can't wait to get this!

Can't really figure Sony these days. Every once in awhile they just decide to do some random title on their own. No real rhyme or reason. Would be nice if they would do it with more frequency or had a regular release schedule like Warner Archive. For the most part the best place to check for Sony catalog is still Twilight Time.

Which means it’ll be pressed, but the price will be mid $20ish.

Im surprised by this getting released randomly. I had bought the dvd on a whim not knowing about the movie and I loved it. Ill have to upgrade.

Very true. That's why I enjoy this one so much. It's surprisingly thoughtful and gives its characters some depth, and does does a nice job balancing the humour with poignant drama.

I used to watch this on The Million Dollar Movie on Philly Channel 6. It's a very sentimental film, and really has some tear jerking moments. Loads of laughs too. Anyone who went to a Catholic school operated by Nuns of the old school will enjoy this movie. It'll be nice to finally retire my DVD and see this film in the correct aspect ratio.

I wonder if June Harding's passing in March prompted someone at Sony to release this. It was the only cinema release she ever appeared in and all her obituaries mentioned this film and that she didn't appear in the sequel.

I had just about given up hope that this would ever land on Blu-ray and was thinking about getting a stream copy--glad I resisted.

Finally the proper aspect ratio!

There's a lot to love about this film, but the battle of wills between Mary Clancy and the Mother Superior is priceless and makes the end of the film even more poignant.
