I'm thinking of upgrading the speakers in my Bedroom system to the following 5.1 system from the Speaker Company: (To replace the Boston Acoustics Avidea610 DVD Surround System which is starting to not work properly).

Anyone have any experience with this system?

Never heard their speakers, but with the free shipping and return shipping it's worth trying out. If you decide to go this route post back and let us know how they sound.

The Speaker Company is a good company from what I've heard online. I tried getting one of their center channels for my system a while back (way before the SDA's) and I kept running into troubles with the refurbished models on Ebay (other people would snatch it up before I got a chance).

The Speaker Company is a legitimate company offering some great deals. There subwoofers are very good for the money. I own the ASW-10 and have been impressed from day one. Picked it up for 99.00 during there holiday sale. It is essentially the Energy ESW-10. It has a very clean and controlled sound. With solid output down to 28hz.

TSC buys older designs used by other companies and builds them to the same spec. They also do some of there own design work as well. They have some well respected engineers and designers and are backed by D&M Holdings. The parent company of Marantz, Denon, McIntosh, Snell and a few others. They have resources and contacts that many other companies don't have and this is why they are able to offer some of the deals that they do.

Did you try and determine what the problem is with the BA system?

The problem may not be the speakers and simply swapping out the receiver may solve your problem.

The BA system has been shutting off ramdonly then won't come on for a period of time. I've had the system for about 4 years.
