I love watching movies and looking at the places they are filmed,

What place do you think just looks amazing when filmed?

Mine would be China

PS: I'm a lover of old-world architecture, so any shots of those types of buildings and surroundings I like.

i loved a lot of the locations from "the fall", pretty much anything from "historical" areas especially foreign ones since i have not yet had the chance to do much traveling outside the states.

also this is stupid lol and im not sure why i like it so much, but the FBI HQ's from X-files which was also used as the tolan homeworld on stargate (tv). which i believe is a campus somewhere in canada, just think it has a cool look to it.

Wasn't all of the X-Files stuff filmed in Vancouver, BC? Could be Simon Fraser University I suppose! Anyone know?

The scene in Road to Perdition when Michael Sullivan arrives in Chicago with his son in the car and you see first the reflection of the city in the car's glass and then see the car go through the bridge with the city in front...

That was awsome. Wish I could go to that spot.

I love stuff in Scotland/Ireland/New Zealand. Lord of the Rings, The Last Samurai, and Rob Roy are some of my favorite settings!

The '70's.

Seriously, whether filmed then or just set then, I can't get enough of the cars, clothes, furniture -- everything. I love how nobody has a cell phone and has to find a payphone. I love how everybody looks vaguely oily.

From All The President's Men and Dog Day Afternoon to Frost/Nixon and Zodiac, it's the most photogenic spot in movie history to my eyes.
