movies filmed with Hd-camera - Blu-ray Forum

i was wondering if there were any blu-ray movies out right now that are filmed with hd-cameras

like most blu-rays like 5th element and payback and many other who look great those werent filmed by hd cameras and still looks good wondering which movies was filmed in hd

You should have a look on IMDB, they have the tech specs for all films. Sony's HDCam SR is what you are thinking of, the results of this camera can be very pleasing, but the resolution will never compare to film, not anytime soon anyway.

Last I saw .Superman Returns and the soon up and coming Apocalypto were filmed using the new Genises Panavision HD camera.Apocalypto will look stunning.I highly recommend this one in Blu-ray.Movieeddie

The last rocky movie was partially done with HD cameras. Most of the movie wasn't but Stallone insited that all the boxing scenes were filmed in HD to simulate live HD broadcast of Boxing events.

The Pat Metheny concert was shot with 1080i video cameras and it looks incredible. The Discovery Atlas series was also shot this way but the shots are not all consistant in terms of white balancing, focus etc. The one to avoid in that series is China. VERY soft pic compared to the other three.

Not on BD but wasn't Collateral filmed with HD cameras? Good god would I love to have a Michael Mann box set in BD.

for those who like the music, get is ASAP - also, not region-coded, so it will play anywhere

As far as Superman Returns.... shot in HD, can't say it shows that much. Certainly not what i would pick to show off HD to friends.

I'm not sure if 300 was digital or not, I think it was film.
The Forbidden Kingdom. Superbad. Walk Hard.
Parts of Quantum of Solace were shot in HD.

Yeah 300 was shot on ISO 500 film. The only scenes that were probably digital were the slow mo battles.

Nope. Those were shot on film too.
They just shot those portions at a much faster frame rate (maybe 48 or 96 frames per second), and then edited at 24 frames per second
