Dont know much about Green Lantern? I do know he's been around a long,long time!,does anybody remember the referece to the character the Donovan song "Sunshine Superman"(great lyrics and sitar!) They should use it in the film somewhere!

Hopefully this is Hal Jordan.

Also appearing in the Article, someone at Sony didn't read past the literal interpretation in the memo.

They saw "Blu" and they thought that everything should be BLUE, so they bought the big screen rights to the Smurfs...

oh the HD-DVD holdouts are going to have FUN with this one... *LOL*

I've been wanting to see a moon Knight movie since I was little any news on that, but am excited for this too especially my brother that collected there comics. I collected iron man and moon knight.

Green Lantern will be a hard film to get right. Green Lanntern movie has to be on an epic scale..or it wont be right...

Martin Campbell was able toget a movie like Casino Royale right...i have faith in him..But hopefully everyone else also does theri job right..

They should hire Wally Pfister or Michael Ballhouse for cinematography

And get Howard Shore to get the score...

Unless the marketing is killer for this movie, I could see it being a tough sell. Green Lantern is vaguely recognizable to the average person but they definitely do not know his history or powers. I just hope it does well enough to let Warner make other DC movies besides Batman and Superman.

This is where DC would do well to copy Marvel on the crossovers. The plan to introduce little knowns like Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine and other in the movies of the well known characters is a really good way to set them up for their own franchises.

They don't even have to cameo (they could be part of a conversation in the movie) something just to raise awareness.

Just a thought.

Technically, Alan Scott's the original Green Lantern. Hal was the first one associated with the Corps though.

In regards to the film, yes it is Hal.

there are sooo much they can do with this
it can be a story about Hal or they can play it up as a space cop show
