They're unlikely to be different transfers.

Have never seen this film, so I bought the 60th Anniversary Edition for £3.99 on Blu-Ray last week. Gonna watch it tonight. As I get on in life I prefer to watch older films. I find them more enjoyable.

And this is one of Hitchcocks best films, I hope you'll enjoy it

I think by nature any film gets older every day :-)

Jokes aside, you will be having a good time with this one. One of my favourites.

Really enjoyed this, such a good film.I’ve got another Hitchcock film, The Lady Vanishes on Blu-ray to watch. It’s great when you find new (classic old ) films to watch.

Bought the 60th anniversary release the other week, it's one of my mother's favourite films.

When she watched it, she noted a couple of things which I'd love somebody to help clarify for me?

Firstly, the colouring on the 60th anniversary release is terribly bright (e.g. the plants in the garden, with the reds and yellows). We recorded yesterday Rear Window HD on Sky Cinema and the colouring IS different (less vivid, more balanced). Does anyone else notice it?

Finally, near the beginning of the film there was a brief shot of a helicopter. Mum didn't remember seeing it at the cinema or on subsequent viewings. Has this been included in recent years or has it always been there since the theatrical release?

Not "one of the best" but the best by some margin.
