![]() ![]() That's the error message I get from PowerDVD when I try to play 300 in Blu-Ray. I updated my LiteOn BD O DH4O1S to the latest firmware and yet I still get the message. Any ideas what I could do? Cheers |

Any chance it's actually an HD DVD? Just thinking maybe Warner screwed up like they did with some of the Harry Potter discs. Do you know if it will play on a regular Blu-Ray player?

I also have the same blu-ray drive. If I remember correctly the latest version of PowerDVD 8 Ultra (build 2521) was the one that gave me problems. I have found that the previous version (build 2217) was much better, though I think the one before that (can't remmber the build #) is what I currently use. It is the most stable on my computer.
I also prefer version 8 over 7. |

Apologies for hijacking your thread but I have the exact same problem however enabling hardware acceleration does nothing. What I did find to work however was powerdvd 7.3, I've tried v8 ultra, arcsoft tmt, corel windvd and all of them come up with the unsupported disc on all of my blu-rays, planet earth, troy, hitman and apocalypto so I know it's no just related to one disc.
Because I'm forced to use an older version of the software I believe it's responsible for "tearing" on the screen, I'll seen distinct lines horizontally that provide a mild distortion, most noticebly in Planet Earth however I've seen it in troy as well, they're only in some scenes but do spoil it somewhat. Does anyone have any idea why nothing except powerdvd 7.3 will play my blu-rays? |
