Default Pat's College Apt Living Area & Bedroom

have a look. I'm replacing the onkyo HTiB L and R with Polk Monitor 50's tomorrow, so i should see a noticeable improvement hopefully in sound.

UPDATE:

Moved into a new place with new furniture. Give it a look

nice equipment, but i dont know where to start after that. you need to do some serious wire management. Your TV stand is to small and it looks like there used to be a shelf for it, IMO you should put it back on if you have it. Cause your receiver is going to hate you with that cable box over it. I looks like you tried to leave some breathing room but thats not going to be enough. good start, just need to move stuff around a little

Honestly. I just threw them up there. It's not meant to be anything special.

Everything was very tidy, but i just had a carpet cleaning and i had to move everything around. But tomorrow when i get the new speakers i'm going to set everything back up properly, i think. I'm moving out in May, but I still want it to look nice so I'm probably going to do that.

I still have that shelf in my closet, so i'll pull it out and give that a try. I'm just not sure if the Cable Box and Onkyo will fit side by side

For my bedroom I think that it is great. As far as it's accuracy of color on some movies, I don't feel that it is the greatest. My Samsung DLP is in a different league. But I also feel that it is a good tv. I do not regret buying it in any way.

I remember the days of the college setup. My HT got a TOTAL overhaul once I graduated and got a job.

Always nice to have another Hokie around

Question guys

I just got my M50's in. Hooked up. It sounds much better than it did. But I want to delegate the duties of the old L and R speakers to the surrounds. Right now i have a 7.1 Setup, but I was thinking. If I remove the rear speakers now closest to the front, and then replace the old fronts on the green wall at the back, would that be ok acoustically. I just figured I'd ask before I did it. Any opinions on this.

Nice setup but you may want to try to point the surround more towards the listening/sitting area. They look like they are pointed OVER the heads on the couch.
