Anybody know why amazon's page shows the cover art like this:

whereas tower's looks like this:

First one is the cover art.

It was suppose to have been the second one but it was switched to the first one.

there was a thread about this a long time ago, as people are saying the first picture is correct. the other one does not exist for any release i know of.

Okay, so tower just has the one first proposed shown on their site and not the one that it actually is in production?

I am thinking of ordering it from them right now as it is priced really well at $14.

I actually prefer the second one. The film is noir and that cover is too.

But my biggest concern is whether it is an import from Aliance that doesn't have as good of a transfer or audio codec or some other thing.

EDIT: Oh, and thanks for the information on the cover art history.

It would be nice as the second one. Probably too much in colored ink. It's a shame.

Alliance does not distribute this title in Canada. I can confirm that the Warner HV Canadian version uses the 1st cover shown.

Thankfully the first picture listed is the actual insert. That second one is horrendous. The cover art used by the studio really suits the movie well.
