Default HDMI Cables - What to do now?

I followed the advise on this site and bought my HDMI cables from Monoprice.com, but they didn't show up when they were expected. I really want to setup my RX-V663 tonight and finally enjoy hi-def audio. If I want to pick some up locally, where is the best place to buy? I just hate the idea of paying full price at Best Buy.

You can't wait to see if they come tomorrow????? They ship on Saturdays also, and if not... definitely Sunday

If you MUST have it right away though, then pay the $40 or so for one...... seems silly to me.... but it's your money!

EDIT:

Or connect your Audio with the HDMI you're running to your T.V. (you are running HDMI right??) and connect the t.v. with Component cables so you can at least hear the audio you have.....

Find a retailer with a good return policy and buy from them.

I would just wait as buying and returning is too much hassle.

Silly me had them shipped to work so I won't have them until Monday. I might do what you suggest to check out the audio but I really just want to setup one time and be done. The more I play around with things, the more trouble I can get myself into.

It would be nice for a fellow forum member to loan you one. I have plenty extra, but I'm 4 hrs. away.

I bought two Phillips 3 foot HDMI cables from Walmart while I waited for the monoprice HDMI to become available to order as they were out of stock. I asked ahead of time what the return policy was, and they said 90 days. So when I finally got my monoprice cables, I boxed the Phillips up and took them back with my receipt of course, no questions asked from them.

Yeah, I heard people are not always so good with Monoprice :/ I don't know how about the return system. But if I were to recommend anything in this price span I'd be Prolink cables.

[EDIT] I just noticed the topic is 5 years old... :P If you have the power, please you can delete it obviouslu - I had it below in my similar threads.

Don't take offense, but for a first impression, I get that you are a poor planner and have no patience. Which would agree with what you said about making things worse.
Do it right once and leave it if you're happy with it. You go rushing things or redoing it, will take the fun out of it and leave you with the potential for disaster.
Good luck, but remember...Plan twice and do once, Work smarter not harder.

Perhaps in the FIVE YEARS since his post he's learned to be a better planner.

Willard is an incredible planner, which is why it took him that long to properly construct his reply
