Help: what surround system for £1.5k - £2k instead of bose v20/v30

had my heart set on the bose v20 or c30 until i heard it don't have the bells and whistles i thought it had - after reading forums, peeps saying it is not so good sound after all, summit wrong with sound format/connectivity (in this day and age that is disgraceful), aint that the whole point of wot this is all about, if it aint up to scatch, I don't want to touch it....

just want blummen good sound but not got space for giant speakers - got 22ft x 10ft lounge but got big tv cabinet and settee, u'd know what i mean if you saw it, big comfy stuff in lounge, so want it tidy/tucked away/wall mounted, and looking & sounding as hot as - like me...

current Pioneer old hat hifi with prologic 12 years old, annoyingly mouths out of sync to the tv - had nuff now. and actually disappointed with samsung plasma sound, get to about volume 35 and keep going up and up and volume stays the same - not that loud....

wot am I going to buy for my hard earned cash?

Help me please and btw you are talking to a non audio techie, so hold my hand big time pretty please - i need this techo stuff spelling out to me until I get the hang of it - big soz in advance for being here in first place but this is the final straw - time i did summit bout it, I don't think i can live life no more like this

Look at the B&W M-1s if you want something "small" I have a set of 5, as does another member here..... (Neo)

I would get a sub from someone else though.... save you some cash.

Then get a Yamaha 663 or Onkyo 606

You can make either of those work for you.
