When will Bose release surround sound system for HD?

I love Bose The sound from any of their products is amazing, but they haven't released anything thats supports HD sound, yet. I was wondering if anybody knew anything about this?

Bose.. lol. Overpriced crap. There are TONS of other more REPUTIBLE companies out there with a much BETTER product.

onkyo does make a nice product and they even have some reasonable models with hdmi out .I have had good luck with them in the past

Stop cracking on the guy. Anyways. Bose does sound good, I know because I have an Acoustimass 16 system in my Master Bedroom. The reason that it's in my MB is because I have an Onkyo system in the living room. Bose claims to have technology that others don't but that's not true. Bose advertises it better. Depending on what Bose system you are looking for, if it's pricy, you may want to look at a rack system.

I have learned to never crack on anyone equipment taste, or what they think is good sound. Some people just have higher/lower standards than others.

One mans ceiling is another mans floor.

However, I must say that I took great pleasure in throwing my best friends bose system in the trash(it still worked). All it cost me was a 5.1 Klipsch Quintet speaker package, and a no longer used Pioneer receiver. Such a small price to pay for such extreme pleasure.

There is nothing wrong with bose! i have one and i am very happy with it. If they weren't any good they would not have speaker systems in your fancy piece of junk sport cars.

Bose does do a great job in hyping their products and inundating the broadcast media with ads. How many J6P have heard of JBL, Klipsch, etc.? I've observed people walk into BB and ask directly for Bose speakers. Bottom line is that if people have heard about it, they are subconsciously looking for it.

Bose speakers are good... but, for the same amount of money one can do much better.

That's my $0.02.

Well, they do put junk into junk these days. All one has to do is measure the speakers, and you quickly know just how bad they truely are.

So true, again the luxury auto makers just see this as another premium brand (not premium quality) to try to justify the overpriced hunk of metal they call a car.

Its funny that in their commercials they always have middle-aged or older people talking about their products. I guess Bose is subliminally saying that those who buy their products are either tone deaf and cannot notice the nuances they produce, or stupid since they typically don't have a good knowledge or understanding of the other options out there which would be better. And of course the fact that age group has more disposable income to buy their expensive and over-priced equipment.

Oh by the way, if you couldn't tell, I don't care for Bose products.

I am a sales manager at a custom home theater store. I wanted to sell bose and have them displayed in my showroom. They had told me that i had to have an entire room dedicated to bose products and I was not allowed to compare them with my other displays.

When doing research on the company, I found out that the creator had no experience in electronics but had a doctorite in marketing. I guess if you told enough people enough times that your product was the best, someone would buy into it.

I suggest Tannoy or KEF

Bose's home theater in a box solution is a) expensive b) has no upscaling function for DVD playback c) has no DTS decoding capability. They are still selling this overpriced unit.

You tell me if they are a forward-looking progressive company.

Their newest deal is that you can get the same sound from a 2 speaker setup (theirs) that you can from a 5.1/7.1 setup at the same cost. Lol.
