Is "Final Analysis" coming out on Blu-Ray

"Final Analysis" with Richard Gere, Kim Basinger, Uma Thurman and Eric Roberts is a creepy, suspenseful, beautifully filmed thriller with twists and turns around every corner, from 1992 that I believe was not really given the level of appreciation that it deserved.

The regular DVD release was only out in Pan-Scan 1.33 with no extras. This film really deserves a beautiful Blu-Ray release with the full extras treatment.

Anybody agree?

Agreed. Good plot. A-list actors across the board. Well shot. I don’t understand why we haven’t gotten a blu-ray yet.

I would also love to see this movie out on Blu Ray. I don't understand because it is available on Amazon HD and iTunes HD...??

Are the studios loosing hope on physical media ?

This movie deserves a new HD scan and a proper blu ray release. It's not superb but it's entertaining, well acted and visually interesting. I own the UK widescreen DVD release but the quality is...well, DVD quality, and the print is full of speckles and dots, it certainly needs and deserves a fresh approach. I'm hoping WAC will be getting around to it soon enough.

Three campy fun films from the '90s (all Warner releases) are on my wishlist for BD upgrading... They're not great, but they're pure '90s FUN, "Final Analysis", "Fair Game" (1995) and "Her Alibi". C'mon,Warner Archive decision-makers, go for'em!. And don't forget "The Power" (1968) and "Night Watch" (1973) either, they're also underrated great fun flicks with big sales potential.

In the pantheon of Richard Gere movies I always conflate FINAL ANALYSIS with PRIMAL FEAR - to the point where I nearly observed that it’s already out in Region A, but of course that’s the latter.

HER ALIBI - is that the Tom Selleck one? Definitely down for that too!

Yes,indeed. Tom Selleck at his comedy-mode best, with the beautiful Paulina Porizkova...Great fun!

I was surprised to find this has never had a BluRay either--it's one of the better erotic thrillers of the 1990s as well as being one of the better reviewed from that genre and, while not a blockbuster like Basic Instinct, according to Wiki it made around 75 mill worldwide which is pretty good. But it also seems to have largely been forgotten.

I agree. Love this movie for what it is. Long long long overdue for a HD Blue-ray. Hope WBA comes through with this release. The star power involved should have made this a no-brainer for marketable titles to release long ago.
