guitar hero 3 and rock band compatability?

i know there r threads on this but the search function just doesnt work here. i bought a 2nd ps3 and i got guitar hero 3 free with my ps3. but im planning on buying rock band 2. so my question is, is the gh3 guitar compatable wiht rb2 and if it is r there any features it doesnt have or something like that.

search function works great...!...the trick is to go into advanced search, type in Rock Band 2 and highlight thread title only....or you'll get every thread with the word Rock or Band in it

oh thanks for the tip on the search thing, i havent played any of the rockband games but i noticed there r way more buttons on the rb guitar that the gh3 guitar. wat r all those buttons for?

I think the bottom ones are just for solos. It's the same buttons (color wise)...

I couldn't get the GH guitar to work on RB... so IDK

yes, download the new patch and it should work with Rb1

and yes, Jamcleur is right, the bottom buttons can be used on the solos where you dont have to strum, only use the buttons....also the buttons on the bottom can be used for the whole song as well, but you have to strum if its not in a solo


also glad to add you to the ROck Band family blu boy....Im strictly just ROck Band as Activision has made GH a shi**y series now.....rock on!
