Guitar Hero vs Rock Band Guitar...HELP

I just sold my xbox 360 along with my guitar hero III game and controller...

It's been a while since I've been following the newer games/guitars so I was just wondering if they've finally come out with a universal guitar yet that will work with all rock band and guitar hero games for the ps3?

if not, which one works with the most of them?

i am very interested in getting the beatles rock band, which would work with that or will work with it in the future?

just for the record im not into the drum set, just the guitar so does anyone know if the beatles game will come with its own guitar and be backwards compatible with all the rock band/gh games?

Theres like 2-3 "special" Beatles guitars coming out, from what I know they will work with all previous games. The last rock band guitar worked with all the old games including GH

I know that the touch pad thingy on the GH World Tour guitar does not work in RB. So, at the end of Rock Band songs where you're supposed to go crazy, the touch pad doesn't work like the second set of fret buttons do on the RB guitar.

Other than that problem, the GH:WT guitar is awesome. It works with both RB and RB2, and it just feels so much better than the strats. It feels a lot more solid and it's more comfortable for long sets. It's worth getting just for the way the overdrive trigger works which is a huge improvement.
