I continue to hold onto hope that VS can eventually put out a box set of those films as well. I know that they are terrible and yet I remember seeing the box art every single time I walked into any rental store anywhere that I feel like I must own them myself as well.

100% this. I don't know that I've ever seen them all (or Children of the Corn) but I always used to pick these types of movies up at the rental place back in the day. Just don't know if that's where I want to allocate my money. I'm trying to cut down on collection expansion right now.

This set is definitely a big deal for me since I have been wanting blu-ray versions of them since the beginning of BD era in 2006. I still have the DVD copies. I hope the individual artwork will be better than the DVD version especially for 1992 and New Generation.

Now the wait begins for 4K UHD version of these films lol.

Pre-Ordered.

Agree with those saying that while these films aren't exactly classics, if you grew up in the '80s and '90s and you were a big horror fan, you caught these on network or cable television when they'd air them late at night. I actually remember watching The Evil Escapes the night it premiered on network TV in 1989. The other three I saw on probably The Movie Channel on a Friday or Saturday night. TMC used to run these direct to video horror and comedy films starting around 11pm and into the wee hours every weekend. Ah yes, those Junior High days...

With VS at the helm, you KNOW these will look spectacular and the box set artwork appears quite impressive. Here's to more fantastic horror box sets from VS in the future. They certainly seem to know how to do it right!

I had no idea these even existed. I absolutely love Amityville II, my favorite of the series. Are any of these in that vein?

Only watched these once about 5 years ago, but I thought they were very watchable and some pretty fun.

I have no self control. The limited number of these tempted me into a blind buy.. now to track down a copy of the Scream! Factory set.

Scream Factory will no doubt be seeing a decent number of sales for their set thanks to Vinegar Syndrome. I just bought a copy last night also.

LOL, I think I'll just put it on the credit card if the numbers get low enough.

This would technically be a blind buy for me though, so is there any way to stream these before I commit?

Moviegeek1992 previously stated that a bunch of Amityville films are currently on Amazon Prime. Starting there might not be a bad idea to see what they have.

The first three in the set are available to watch on Amazon if you have a Prime membership or you could rent them if you don't

Snagged the Scream! set for just under $30 shipped. Not bad. I'll need to stretch my viewings out, until the sequels set arrives.

I watched those a few months back & that helped me decide not to buy this set. It’s great looking but if I didn’t like those 3 films I doubt I’ll like the other.

I’m tempted to buy the SF collection but the reviews aren’t that good on it. I wonder if a new set will come out with new restorations.

I got a soft spot for this series!
I love Dollhouse even though its one of the weaker sequels.
Not as bad as the ones that come after it though!

October cant come soon enough!
