Has anyone been to eastern Afghanistan? - Blu-ray Forum

My girlfriends brother left yesterday with 509th parachute infantry to set up operations. We are getting hitched when he comes home is a year or so.

I have not been to Afghanistan, and dont know much about it, or what goes on over there.

haven't been yet but might go coming up in june.

There's a lot of shit going down in that county. Most of it is due to the fact that we were distracted in Iraq for the past 6 years (still trying to figure out wth we were doing in that place) while the Taliban regrouped in the hitherlands between Paki and Afgani stan. Basically the people in that area really don't care about some line put on a map by the Brittish 60 years ago. Hope this is not too political for the mods, but I just want to tell the truth.

Tell your future BIL to keep his head down because that place is going to explode real soon as spring comes and the snow in the mountains melt.
