Have you watched the entire film yet?
What do you think of the transfer??

I am really quite happy with it.

NO IT IS NO INTACT. i live in the US i have both the dvd 2004 release and the BD 2011 release. the dvd is uncut will ALL of the seens. the BD is cut, and the only seen cut from it is the headbutt. it only had hook hitting his forhead against peterpans but it cut the part where peterpans head flys back.

The U.K. Blu came out first and I assume that all other distributors from Germany, France, Japan, ... and even U.S. went the cheap way by just copying this transfer. It's a shame.

Thinking about getting this. Before I do, is there a version with Special Features?

The Blu-ray review says this one doesn't have any at all.

Peter Pan doesn't include a single special feature. Strange considering the 2004 DVD had quite a few. Eleven behind-the-scenes featurettes, an alternate ending, deleted scenes and much more... gone without a trace. The Blu-ray edition doesn't even offer the film's Coldplay-infused theatrical trailer. Very strange indeed.

I see no definitive verdict on that and I would like to know.
I find it kind of funny that out of all the things to censor, a stupid headbutt is all that needed to get cut, if I was in charge of censoring the film, I would of lowered the disturbing (for a family movie) body count, I counted 9 confirmed deaths in this whole film, 9. Not a huge number, but for a family film it's kind of shocking, especially how these 9 die;
[Show spoiler]with shootings, stabbings, and of course eaten by a crocodile.

9 violent deaths with swords and guns, that's wonderful for kids, the villain headbutting the hero, that's just too much.

I think I'm going to blind buy this. It hadn't been on my radar at all, and then recently in the thread for the new version coming out next year, people were talking about how good it is. That led me to look into reviews, which are quite positive, so that's even more incentive.

So does the UK/EU versions of this include extras? Was the US transfer the same or worse?

Thanks.

Great movie, much better than "Hook" or the new "Pan".

Why is the German blu-ray listed as the Extended version?

Because the theatrical release was heavily cut. The BD is the same as the rest of the world.

Final Cut Entertainment in the UK will be releasing this on 18th November. As a label they don't always carry extras over so I would be surprised if this added the extras from the DVD release.

Heavily cut? Am I missing something? The censorship for the UK, and unfortunately, for all Blu-ray releases I know of, is the headbutt Hook gives to Peter in the dark castle during their fight there.

I've never heard of a true extended cut being released anywhere.

And seconds of footage certainly does not make the film "heavily" cut.

Will release what? An uncut version of PP? Link?

Yes, you are. I was talking about the theatrical release, not the DVD/BD. The theatrical release had 26 cuts (296 sec.) in order to achive an FSK 6 rating.

Meaning it's still the UK cut without the head-butt?
