Read the comments on any of these and they'll tell you everything you need to know about Cameron's 'investment' in the franchise.
That would work if he didn't have story and producer credits

Projected $100,000,000 to $130,000,000 box office losses? Let's commission a sequel TV show (or something, this really is a massive word salad)...

You have to remember that with these movies, even if they lose a little on theatrical release, they oftentimes make up for it with all the post-theatrical revenue streams, and merchandising in some cases.

I think it's been mentioned that it needed over $400,000,000 to break even, I don't think China will even save this one. It will do okay on streaming and physical, but I doubt anyone apart those who got big paydays upfront will be seeing much return.

The rights were bought a few years back for 20 million, someone joked that we could have crowd-funded that! If they can get one quarter of a billion dollars for a video game ...

I've pre-ordered the 4K disc already being a Terminator completist, but can't be arsed to see this at the cinema

Speaking of James Cameron he really needs to go back and fix the picture quality on T2. No way I'm buying it on blu-ray with it drenched in teal.

I know. We have such entitlement as fans to be asking for good movies in a franchise.

Yes it does although I'm sure he'll backtrack when someone brings it up.

They did that before and it barely managed two seasons.

No, because it was released by Fox. DV was not their thing (unless someone twisted their arm).

Thank you for the feedback- disappointed to hear this. Hope to purchase a new telly with Dolby Vision in 2025 so being careful now I purchase discs with DV, when available.
