Question Audio Sync

Hi, I hope this question is in the right place and is not too stupid!!

I have just bought a Sony Bluray S550 and everything works fine but I have some DVD-R discs that have some converted avi files on them that play fine on a PC/laptop or normal DVD player but when played in the Bluray machine the audio is ok for a while and then goes out of sync, back in again and then out of sync.

Does anyone know why this is happening and is there anything that can be done to resolve it, either in the avi to dvd conversion/DVD burning process or any audio settings on the actual Blueray player that can be changed?

Thanks for you assistance
Julia

For some reason, audio is being "buffered". If these are files that were recorded on a video camera, you can go into the setup and try changing the Cinema Converison Mode to "Video", instead of the default "Auto". You'd have to change it back for the correct display of commercially recorded BluRay stuff.

Try that.

Also, questions like this are probably better to submit to the "Blu Ray Players And Recorders" forum.
