Wow I'm glad I waited to buy my 4k UHD TV

How far are tour guys couches/chairs away from your set? Like i said in an earlier post, my 65'' set is 15' - give or take a few feet- and while netflix 4K running on 30mbps internet looks great- Breaking Bad, Oceans, Waterfalls, amazon uhd too, the OAR of non 16x9 movies truly mitigates the resolution upgrade. Its like me telling you i can give you 4x your clarity of vision but you have to have black blinders at top and bottom of ur vision. The upgrade wouldnt be worth it then. I guess thats why all the uhd content ive seen on netflix is 1.78:1 not 2.35:1. This is major reason it looks great. Unless i get some recliners to put 8' from the screen ( which i may in addition to removing one of the couches that would be blocked by chair placement ill wait for a game console, a PS4.5- w/4K disc player and rental store to jump in. Ill get Direct tv 4K reciever this fall when i can upgrade for free. I know a full screen espn uhd will be worth it. Im waiting for a next gen game console to include the tech at a mitigated cost. Second, and possibly equally important componet to this decision, is that i can rent an uhd movie right away. I dont have to find the one site that rents uhd movies for $7.99 a pop, when i can download a digital version onto the gsme console and if i truly like it, i can then buy the uhd disc.

SIGNIFICANT improvements in the last few years. With the de-judder cranked to maximum on my LG UB9500 there's almost none at all, and any that there is isn't strong enough to be distracting.
