well it depends on which avengers you are talking. there are currently 3 avengers teams/comic books in publication. and there have been a total 5 avengers teams altogether.

I think Eva Longoria is rumored for the Wasp. She was seen leaving Marvel Studios (after a presumable meeting) with a few Avenger comic books in hand.

Also, I read that the director of Thor is going to play with and inlcude a lot of continuity in the Marvel movie universe so I'm pretty stoked for all things Marvel
