This movie is fantastic. It's mainly about the rivalry between Edison and Westinghouse. Many negative reviews are because it short changes Tesla but I thought it was fine. I was very impressed with the score that plays almost continuously through the movie. I wasn't quite certain what year this movie came out...IMDB says 2017, USA theatrical release was 2019, so I went with 2019.

The Current War is absolutely in my top 10 of 2019.

2017 was its first release date but after the Weinstein stuff came out, the Director got back the movie and cut it to how he wants and released it in 2019 to theaters.

it's debut was at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2017 at a running time of 102 minutes. The new version while only five minutes longer, I think was a complete redo with additions and deletions to achieve the Director's cut, and unfortunately felt vapid and style over substance.
