Because the 5.1 is an upmix and the 2.0 is the original stereo audio mix, which is the way it should be heard.

the CE Bluray is delayed to the 23. but the 4K Steel is available from today here in Germany.

Hmm really tempted. But 29,99 ain't cheap. On the other hand, the Leon Steel also has this price since release..

Video quality's pretty good. Definitely a fairly strong DNR, but most details and texture creases are preserved.

The only thing that looks a bit odd are the few scenes with cobblestone streets and some with smoke.

Maybe they need this to more uniformly bring out dynamic range ?

FiM do the encoding, they don't do the mastering at source. DNR would be nothing to do with them if it was there or not.

I see plenty of grain. It's just much finer. There seems to be some dirt and noise removal present, but this looks quite lovely!

Got mine today and will probably watch it tonight.

I'm not a fan of the packaging though. Good idea with the diorama when you open the front, but good luck with getting the whole package inside the box again. I can get it inside now, but this design is just a bit too cheap. I would have prefered something like the Carpenter UHD packaging for this.

I don't have it in hand but judging by the caps, looks like fine pin-sharp grain to me. It'd be extremely weird and inconsistent if they slapped the DNR stick on this one and not Don't Look Now, especially being a Lynch project and all.
