Ok first of all any big director and film lover loaded with money like Micahel Bay has a HD system at home. Are you kidding? He has probably watched many movies in BD and HD DVD over the past many months. This is total bs. Acting like he never seen a HD movie before are you ****ing kidding me. What a damn moron. Transformers was a shitty movie but after his statement I gained some respect for this guy but now it is all gone again. What a tard. Biggest tard ever. He honestly just floods Hollywood with big action movies with no plot or engaging characters at all. This is why he will never be Speilberg and just be a gimmick to appeal to dumbed down masses.

I think you got that all wrong. I don't think he had a HD-DVD set; just a Blu-Ray set :P~

I just lost respect for Bay even quicker than I gained it. What a schmuck.

If he was a man, he'd stop making movies for Paramount. I'm sure any of the other studios would love to gobble up his blockbuster dollars.

It's unfortunate in a way that he isn't as mentally retarded nor as colossal a failure as Uwe Boll. Otherwise, he could just fistfight his way through Paramount and Dreamworks and ultimately all of Viacom, until he gets his movies onto Blu.

You do realize that this would probably poison the well in half of Hollywood for him right? Maybe all of it?

He stated that he has decided to continue working on Transformers 2. Its awesome to know a sequel is on the way, but by the time it comes out for consumers, I beg it will not be HD-DUD exclusive.

$200 is the magic number? Ok, I think what he is trying to say is that HD-DVD is aiming to sell their players for $199 in the future and he probably thinks the public will go with HD-DVD instead of Blu-ray because of price....

Who cares he acts like he was clueless. He initially stated he doesn't like not offering his movies to ALL of his fans including BD. Now he doesn't even mention that.. how convenient.

Great, I was all about Bay today. I even ordered Pearl Harbor because of him. However, I just took off Pearl Harbor from my order because he is being a coward. If you're going to "Talk the Talk" you better be able to "Walk The Walk".

Thanks for nothing!

this is illogical as his main concern is giving people a choice and not limiting his audience....going for hd-dvd is the most lopsided decision ever. it doesnt add up.

This couldn't possibly be for real. When you're virtually the head of a potentially huge franchise such as Transformers, you don't want something like this to happen. I'll wait to see if this becomes a bigger deal. Almost everywhere related to HD in general has had something official about him backing off of Transformers 2. When (hopefully, if) I see this spread I'll believe it. Maybe his kid got on his computer and logged in as him.

Either Bay is playing ball or he's a coward. There's nothing for him to take pride in.

The price thing is total garbage. Anyone who mentions price as a reason for why HD DVD is superior is a dope. Ya hear me? A dope!!

Was he bought off?

I guess I don't understand. I do think the man needs to be given all the facts and hard sales numbers though, if in fact he's being honest.

it sounds like a normal about face after the lawyers have a talk with you and explain your contract and what it might cost you if you back out. but only my guess.

guys relax, this is exactly what the exec's at HD-DVD/Universal/Microsoft/ Toshiba/ and now Paramount want to happen....a big dose of rampid confusion and questions to start over their "big" announcement. Not having Paramount neutral isn't that bad. They come out with 1 good movie every 4 months and probably 2 every summer. I agree and am pissed about Transformers but that's 1 movie we have to live without (unless you buy on DVD). I 'd rather get the "big guns" coming soon from FOX and MGM.

Keep your cool, continue to only support BD and their movies, their exciting upcoming releases, players, etc. and most importantly, just enjoy being Blu!!

It will prevail in the end.

Ugh, that was so forced I think I threw up a little in my mouth.

First, he is all about choice, and now just 'hey, they have 200 dolalr players, thats good. ill just ignore that bluray is making twice the sales numbers'

i cant say im surprised really though, as he probably did sign contracts and all. still shitty though.
