I Have A Copy Of Die Hard 2 And The Dts Hd Sound Track Is Not On The Disc. This My Second Copy. Does Anyone Know If This Fox Error? Thanks For Your Help.

Yep they F'd it up when they first released it... so don't worry your not the only one. Nothing we can do about it either.

I have the Die Hard set.

I use the PS/3 to decode DTS MA to PCM.

I thought it did work fine like that for each disk including Die Hard 2.

I am not sure but I thought that sending DTS MA to the receiver didn't work smoothly for Die Hard 2. Or perhaps it didn't work with some Blu-ray players.

It's a known problem with this disc, fox is aware also but has yet to do anything about it

i thought the detail on the picture with this movie wasnt there it was like a dvd i know alot disagree but seemed that way to me.

I just watched the first 2 DIE HARD's again and they were unimpressive
in the PQ dept.... disappointing like many of the early FOX releases....

Finally got to watch this yesterday. Wow, this is definitely NOT a demo disc for either video/audio.

While DIE HARD will never look like demo quality due to how it was shot, it is a quantum upgrade to the picture quality on the DVD. As for DIE HARD WITH A VENGENENCE, it's a quantum improvement from the DVD and is actually a mostly excellent picture. However DIE HARD 2 drops the ball considerably!

If there is an upgrade in resolution, it sure seems minimal, colors are certainly drab and look inaccurate. That's atypical of the masters we've seen for the DVD and though I can't remember every detail of my theatrical experience, i'm not sure it was that drab and "red toned". Don't look for fine detail and sharpness as it's not found in this one.

Audio-wise was a HUGE disappointment. I always figured that the DD held back the DVD but this has to be one of the most compressed sounding action films ever. There's little surround engagement, it doesn't come through very clear, action has no extension and dialogue was difficult to hear. Just an overall disappointing presentation.
