You are right, the video encode is the same as the french version - bit-by-bit.

Filmjuwelen are releasing another Touchstone title from around the same time as a mediabook, The Insider.

Koch are releasing another De Palma, Sisters, using the High Rising extras.

I just got this today have not given the disc a spin yet but I am fine with it being the same transfer as the France disc. I actually expected it. I just couldn't stand the France disc and the forced subs so I am fine with this release. This movie deserves better treatment on home video though. A 4K remaster would be nice.

Just glad when I want to watch this I don't have to bother with the France disc no more.

The digi case is DVD sized, I have it on the shelf now next to the France release and the USA DVD.

The good news is it was released in Germany and they love to do steelbooks, maybe this will get a steelbook at some point.

There's definitely some macroblocking on the German release. I've not seen the French release.
