Put this in this forum to get the most feedback. I have a project in mind for my A2-300. I want to get a piece of Very Dark Glass cut precisely to fit the top of the sub. 1/4 inch thick and very dark with little clear rubber feet under it to prevent it from rattling . NOW the part where you guys come in is I think I'm gonna have "elemental designs™" etched/sandblasted into the surface and need to know which way you think it would look best. And feel to post and tell me if you think its a dumb idea too.
I'm wondering if it should be left to right dead center.... vertical, bottom to top....along one side left or right vertical. WHERE should I put it? Let me know! .....or perhaps angles form one corner to another? I'm leaning towards putting it either dead center left to right or along the left side front to back or maybe corner to corner........Help me decide.. perhaps some thicker glass then to weigh it down more. 1/2 inch maybe. I'm open to all suggestions.
Lack of pictures is due to the fact i've rearranged my whole setup and its all torn up right now. Waiting on G3FP stand from Omnimount. Last edited by Therapist; 04-04-2009 at 05:00 AM. |

Do you have this sub in your possession? Bass swells rattle stuff all of the way across my room. I would look into building a riser and customizing it with logos...
You could try the thick glass, but I would hate for it to be a wasted effort. Most recommend against placing anything on top of your sub. |

get a set of rubber feet from any hardware store that you like
use some strong clear glue to glue them to the glass the glass needs to be sanblasted from the bottom, and with the logo backwards, so when you look from the top, its straight and smooth. i think its a great idea and simple to do |

Does having it on a riser help keep the bass in the room as well? I live in an apartment also and, as far as neighbors go, would it help so it doesn't disturb others so much or is it mainly to get a clearer/heavier bass without having to turn it up so much?
