To be precise: both films are adapted from the same book, so they’re more like interpretations than remakes.

It’s a remake. What is it with kids today? Everything is a reinterpretation, re-adaptation, or a reboot. It’s as if the term remake has become a dirty word.

Seems like i've been waiting forever for this. Article says Luca is hoping to get this out for the 40th anniversary so basically 2023.

Either way, i'm excited and loved what he did with his Suspiria remake, so i can't wait to see how this one turns out.

No doubt in my mind Luca is going to make this a remake that lives up to the originals. Cannot wait to see his vision of Scarface.

The last remake was quite powerful as I remember it, but I can't say I want another remake. Nothing wrong with a good remake, but I am not sure what it would add.

I've been shown otherwise though!

Guadagnino's version of Suspiria was one of the worst remakes I've ever seen, so I can't see how his Scarface can possibly be good.
