Default I cant play "Taken" how bad is this problem!

hey guys, I recently bought the Samsung HT-BD2 system, which i think uses profile 1.0, and was unable to play "Taken" which I understand has been a problem with alot of the Samsung players. Could u please tell me why this is? What if how is the best way to overcome this? And do you think this will be an issue with many other Blu-ray discs that will be released or have already been released? Are there any other discs that the Samsung players have trouble with?

Thanks for your help.

Where did you get your copy of the movie from? I ask because all copies of Taken are region coded (as I just learned). Is it the US version?

Which of the three is the one you have?

US Version
Europe Version
France Version

Both the Europe and France copies will work in your player. The US version will not because you player is locked to Region B.

doubtful. Region coding has nothing to do wht firware, it's more of a hardware issue, not really a issue just the way it was produced to disc.(if i'm not mistaken that is.)

There are region free players that will play BDs that are region locked. You can aslo have your player "fixed" to play all regions. Do a search on the subject (forum).
