Question Catalogue Release

I hear this term every now and again, and I was wondering what this meant.

a catalog release simply means an older title being released to blu-ray--

"catalog" titles would not be a new release, and they wouldn't be a
blockbuster title (even older ones) like say, the STAR TREK movies,
or JAWS, or the INDIANA JONES titles, etc.

recent examples of catalog titles are COLLATERAL DAMAGE, JOHN Q,
FINAL DESTINATION, TAKING LIVES, 2010, etc.
these titles are in the Warner Bros "catalog" of older releases being
brought out on blu-ray...

basically a non new release. Most people catagorize a catalogue title as one that is a year past it's original street date.

Catalog Title refers to a movie which is now being released on Blu ray which was formerly released on another format at an earlier date, such as DVD, Laser etc.
