Default Suggestions for curtains on a budget?

I hope this is the right place for this, if not please move it.

I am looking for curtains for my living room/ "theater" I was thinking something heavy that had a thermal backing and were blackout. I would also like for them to have some sound absorption/ sound deadening qualities.

Just wondering what others are using and where to shop for them.

thanks!

Where are you located?

There is a place called "Tuesday Mornings" in my area... that had a lot of curtains for fairly cheap.....

If you want thermal, and light blocking curtains.... you'll at least have to pay a "decent" amount to get good quality though........

also... don't skimp on the number of panels you use.

I got some thermal light blocking curtains pretty cheap at JC Penny. They seemed to have the biggest selection when I was looking. Bed Bath and Beyond had a good selection too but was a little pricier for what I was looking at.

all the curtains in my theater came from BB&B 18in black 11burgandy and i could use few more but that was all they had got some @14.99 and some @9.99 i grabbed all they had so if i didn't use them i could take 'em back they have a velvet feel ad hide your curtain rods which i got there on closeout for 7.50 a set and i've used most all of them.

I am in Columbia SC

I think we have a Tuesday Mornings here, I will have to look them up.
I am looking for function over everything else, if they happen to look nice then thats a bonus
I was expecting to pay around $30-$50 a set and I would need 2 sets to properly cover the window (106")

I saw them online.... but was worried about ordering them since I couldn't see them in person.

The ones I bought were much more expensive, but the quality is fantastic.

how much$$$ ?? - thanks. Went to Home Depot, didn't have the Thermal ones "In Stock" of course (could only order online--but would rather Feel the material to see if they felt Thick enough/felt right, etc.)

** Feel free to PM me with any info/suggestions/links, etc. **

I shopped around extensively for theater curtains, and I found a great deal on 84" panels at Linens and Things. They are light blocking panels, and they are dark red with the old time theater look.

When I get around to it, I'll post some pictures.

I did blackout curtains from Walmart on all of my windows in my apartment. They several colors and lengths and the prices were pretty good.

I almost ordered some from walmart but not being able to see and feel them made me a bit hesitant.
I ended up getting some from JC penny that were on sale for $20 a panel and I had a 15% off coupon!
They are supposed to be blackout but they still let some light through but not much. Its a huge improvement over what it was before.

Default Walmart "Eclipse--Thermaback"

Just picked these up today (well 1 actually, 40x84 did the trick) for my doorway out to the kitchen. Foam-backed, Brown/Suede, nice texture actually. $17+ the rod w/screws & such - about $25 total. Went up fairly easy, luckily I Measured correctly also.

went back to bed bath&beyond today and they were able to get me some more of the ones i had already bought to finish up with and they were only 9.99 per panel and will be delivered to my house and there were plenty more available just not @ that store the brand is Wamsutta and the design is Savannah the burgandy color is bordeaux the black is Mesa which is more of a suede style and they gave free shipping since they didn't have them at the store.
