CBS "The Equalizer" Season 1 (TV Series Reboot) - Blu-ray Forum

Don't know what to think about this. I knew they were talking about a reboot but thought that the studio had dropped it. Appears that the pilot episode is out (free full length preview on youtube. full free episode linked below):

It was ... okay. Just nothing special. Might check out a few more episodes before I make any final judgments. It stars Queen Latifah as a retired CIA operative who uses her skills to help those in need. Chris Noth (Law and Order) stars in the pilot episode (unaware if he's a recurring appearance, main cast or just a guest appearance. He appears as the owner of a PMC that specializes in protecting wealthy billionaires.

Uhm... it aired on CBS Sunday night. Right after the Superbowl. They've been advertising it for months.

I enjoyed the Pilot, okay its nothing new, it felt like seen in many series before, but it was a nice no Brainer. I will keep watching

Same here. I was entertained, and I like the cast for the most part, so I'll stick with it.

Maybe this could generate interest in releasing HD seasons of the original? But yeah this reimagining ain't for me.

Was better than the premiere of Clarice, which isn't saying much because I thought Clarice was worst than Evil.

I watched the first two episodes and enjoyed them. It's not Shakespeare but that's okay, it's entertaining.

Yeah me too. The Second Episode was solid entertaining, once again nothing special, but not boring and solid fun. I like the origin of the Name Equalizer

I always thought what the Equalizer does isn't much different than what The A-Team did. I'd say the A-Team was more family friendly show. I wish remake of The A-Team had been more successful than remakes of The Equalizer.

The spin off is not going forward. I’m not surprised. The back door pilot aired two days ago and it wasn’t that good.

As of today the main series has not been renewed so this may be the end of it. I enjoyed it well enough (and the Denzel Washington movie series as well) but the original with Edward Woodward will always be the best in my book. Still waiting for this season to wrap up before screening it in its entirety.
