God Of War 2 on PS3 HD Question. - Blu-ray Forum

I know there is a code to make GOW2 Highdef. But has anyone been able to do this code on the PS3? I can't seem to do it on time because the D3 controller turns off after starting a PS2 title. Is there another trick to it?

I was able to do it. You just have to be quick. Keep in mind it took around 20 minutes for me to finally get it to work the first time, but it was worth it.

You'll know you did the code properly when you see the "Sony Computer Entertainment Presents" screen displays purple text (which is normally is white).

LOL, Not sure if I would go through this for 20 minutes. That's crazy. I'm gonna give it another shot tonight.

Just turn the controller back on ASAP and once the red light stops blinking, put in the code.

Using your nose sounds pretty dumb. It just took me 20 minutes to get the hang of it, but after that it only took maybe 2 tries.

The trick is to leave the USB cable in the controller. It takes 2 seconds for the wireless connection, by then the code activation window has gone. By using the USB cable, the controller is immediately activated giving you the time to do the code.

The color of the writing on screen changes telling you the code is activated. Personally I didn't see much of a difference, but its worth checking out.

Can't you also do the code on the PS2? Is there really a significant PQ difference if you enter the code on the PS3 than the PS2? Just wondering.

Only on some of the PS3's. Here are the models:

20 GB released on November 2006 Model # (CECHBxx)
60 GB released on November 2006 Model # (CECHAxx)
60 GB released on March 2007 Model # (CECHCxx)

None of them are in production anymore.

does anyone know if god of war 2 works on the Motor Storm ps3 80gig?

It does as I have played it on mine.

The only issue is sometimes there is static in the graphics, but its rare and still allows you to play.
