Yeah, I’m not sure an 0.8in bigger, 720p OLED display, and an Ethernet port is worth $50 more for a console that is 4 years old with absolutely no actual graphics upgrade of any kind. The 32gb bump is nice but you’re still going to need an external storage card given how little that still is for games nowadays, so that ‘upgrade’ is practically useless.
If anything they should sell this one for $300 and the other (older one) at $250. |

As a non-switch owner who has some interest in owning one, the switch lite still seems like the better "bridge" deal if you're mostly interested in handheld play. What's the point of OLED if it's still 720P? You think you're getting caviar but really just got escargot instead.

I’m sure ppl will still go nuts for this and even if I wanted one I wouldn’t be able to find it w/o some ridiculous markup. |

And I'm sorry but IMO, OLED or not, going with a bigger screen at the same pitiful 720p resolution is a downgrade. Increasing screen real-estate without increasing resolution only dilutes the image quality. |

Tbh, I’ve got a Switch lite. I was going to trade it out for the docked version, which I bought, and I haven’t even opened the box. I would rather have the OLED version, but even if I could track one down in October I’d have 2 Switches to sell and that sounds like a pain. Not to mention the Switch Pro will still probably launch w/ BotW 2 in March

And with this here, it would be nice if they actually fixed the bad Nvidia hardware design instead of tacking on other stuff. Like for example the Switch dock scratching the Switch up. Or the drift issues with all controller types. Quality control has gone out of the window since Iwata died. Quote:
Having a 1080p screen with 720p content doesn't really make sense. The Switch itself is a downgrade in all sorts of ways when compared to the 3DS, like for example Streetpass gone. I have never seen anyone carrying a Switch around, but I have gotten all sorts of Streetpasses. I don't even understand why you would make it EVEN bigger, when it's already too big to actually be portable. What's the point of that? I like having my 3DS with me because it's tiny in size. The Switch not so much. It stays at home. |

Why the hell would you do that. Buy the actual classic physical board game, no need for any electronics at all. No battery involved. Doesn't stop working after a few hours because the battery ran out. Seriously. That's worse than Wii U marketing. |
