Default HDMI over CAT5E / CAT6 Extender Wall Plate (Pair)

Anyone use these?
http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

I like the idea & want to start installing these. Alot cheaper than big HDMI runs. I wonder if you can fit 2 of these in a 2gang box. I dont know if they are Decora or not.......

It will be interesting to see how well these work.

Call me sceptical but at this price point I find it difficult to believe it will work. The only unit I've found to be reliable is Extron's and its almost cost prohibitive in a residential setting.

I ordered one and am waiting on shipping. As soon as I get them installed I will post a review. I am going 25 ft over 5e. Hope they work out, I am not looking forward to pulling HDMI through the wall.

those don't look like they are a detachable module, but rather are built into the wall plate. so I doubt you would be able to use two on a double gang box. but they did get great reviews. they look to be passive unlike other modules, so they are basically an adapter to the cat cable rather than an extender so you still have the limitations of hdmi wire length. but you do have the advantage of using cat5e/6

ya thats what i figured, just a built in unit that looks decora but not detachable. oh well. Yeah the reviews are great. I would like to install one to find out the truth though.

you should use cat6 instead of cat5. They said that the cat6 u get better quality. But please post a review & see if it will fit 2 in a 2 gang box
