Do you mean like the ones used for The Sopranos Season 6 Pt. 1, and Planet Earth? I agree, I thought they were very flimsy and reminded me of the cases Warner used on it's SD releases.

No. They are not hard disc holders. They are Tri-fold carboard covers, with clear plastic holders on each face. They "flip/fold" to make a big "case". They fall apart and are not durable.

The case in question was used in all seasons of ER, Sex and the City, HBO Oz.

Granted that piece of shit called a case for planet earth is a real case, it doesn't hold shit like it should.

I can't find a picture.

From BuddyTV.com

Quote:
In response to our previous article that mentioned the fact that the specs had yet to be released, Lost's co-show runner, writer, and all around swell guy Carlton Cuse straightened me out via e-mail on the Lost season 3 Blu Ray edition's technical specs. “I can confirm for you that the Blu Ray discs will be full-on 1080p,” Carlton confirmed.
The reason for the confirmation was that Lost on ABC was aired in 720p.

MODS: Please change the topic to something like Lost Season 3 BD - December 11. We've not lost a BD officer!

Default Disney specs - Lost: Season 3 Blu-ray

Disney has provided specs for Lost: Season 3. Discuss away...
https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=450

Buena Vista Home Entertainment has released the specs for the highly anticipated upcoming Blu-ray release of 'LOST: The Complete Third Season, The Unexplored Experience'. Spanning six discs, the 23 episodes will be presented in 1080p with PCM audio. A special Blu-ray feature will provide viewers some "truths" about each episode via a interactive BD-J feature.

Extras include:

The World of the Others - Featuring interviews with the producers and the cast, "The World of the Others" explores the crucial role of "The Others" in season 3 and what the world of Lost holds for these characters in the future.

Lost Flashbacks - Never-before-seen glimpses into the past lives of the castaways

Lost in A Day - Fans of Lost will have a chance to see what it really takes to create the show each season. Cameras follow each part of the "Lost" machine to cover a day's work on the series. Spanning seven episodes, from Hawaii to California, and from the writers' room and the sound studio to the production office and the Hawaii set, you'll be amazed to see everything this show accomplishes day in and day out.

Lost on Location - A behind-the-scenes look at the making of 10 episodes from season 3

The Lost Book Club - Learn about the role of literature in the story of "Lost" in this exploration of the books featured in the series. The show's producers and cast reflect on the books highlighted in the series, and what they mean to the world of "Lost."

Deleted Scenes - Nine new scenes from the cutting room floor.

Bloopers - Hilarious outtakes of the cast and crew from the set of the third season of "Lost."

Audio Commentaries

Exclusive, interactive BD-Java Feature - Fans will rethink what they know about "Lost" and change the way they watch the show. Viewers decipher truth from conjecture through an interactive control panel unlocking the mysterious world of "Lost."

The release is scheduled for December 11th.

Sounds good. I hope most of the bonus stuff is hi-def. At this price it should be.

As far as region coding is concerned, the US version will be Region A. Other regions may be in all regions - like Europe - however it depends on whether the European countries have aired Season 3 already. If not, you may see a delay until the stations complete their broadcasts before its BD release.

The MSRP is expensive but then we are getting a full season in 1080p that even broadcast (at least in the US) didn't get. Hopefully they'll encode it at 1080p24.

Exclamation LOST 3rd Season Blu-ray specs are in

Looking good! Something to offset the Heros HDDVD sales, It hink this will be a big hit this Christmas since LOST is quiet a bit more popular than Heros and been around longer...and its BLU EXCLUSIVE!

Wow, watching HD Lost without commercials. I can't wait!

It's too bad they still decided to go with this terrible mini season and nearly 12 month breaks between seasons approach, though.
