More WAR MOVIES - Blu-ray Forum

I know there are some very good War movies comming out in november, 2 of my favorite, but please give us more of the older war movies, maybe i am crazy but there it is. but so far BD has not done too bad with its selection, i just prefer soe of the older ones.

yeah id be down for some of the older ones, also the newer ones

battle of britain is coming out my gosh if we could get fox to give us PATTON!!!

I am dying for Saving Private Ryan. Too bad my favorite may not come because of Paramount, I would love Braveheart.

I want to see Kilgore and the Air Cav storm the beach on Apocalypse Now! Even though it's paramount, it's a Coppola movie. They won't want to piss him off, and he chose BD first, like Spielberg.

Ive been waiting for Glory, hopefully Sony will release it soon. I remember watching this in the 8th grade, one of the first war movies i ever watched and i was like whooa especially when some guys head got blown off. I was like F*kc yea!

Platoon, Glory and Patton would be nice. I can't wait until September for Gods and Generals.

war movies are for sure so much sicker on bd... there pq is outta this world theres absolutely (or hardly) any blur in the fast pace action scenes

JediKnight, if Saving Private Ryan ever comes out on an HD format, it will be guaranteed a BLURAY release, maybe HDDVD as well, but BLU release is almost guaranteed since it was directed by Spiel-blu-berg, and Paramount/Dreamworks cant do a damn thing about it if he said NO HDDVD!!! hehe!

The Paramount/Dreamworks deal also rules out another favorite, Gladiator.

I hope Fox puts out The Thin Red Line. Amazing cinematography.
