Default The Brown Bunny (Vincent Gallo) - Limited to 250 copies

https://enjoytheriderecords.com/coll...mbered-blu-ray

The Brown Bunny Blu Ray (Hand Signed & Numbered By Vincent Gallo)

Gray Daisy films presents The Brown Bunny. Written, directed, edited and produced by Vincent Gallo. The Brown Bunny is a love story. It's the story of one man, the one lost love of his life and his attempts to find that love again. The story of a lost soul unable to forget his past.

Bud Clay races motorcycles. After finishing a race in New Hampshire Bud Clay (Vincent Gallo) loads his motorcycle into the back of his van and begins a cross-country odyssey to California where he is to compete in another race.

During his trip Bud meets three very different girls. Violet, Lilly (Cheryl Tiegs) and Rose. None of these girls can replace Daisy, the only girl he’s ever loved and the only girl he will ever love. Bud will never escape his intense feelings for the love of his life, Daisy (Chloe Sevigny) and so he plans to reconcile with her when he reaches California.

Arriving in Los Angeles, Bud checks into a motel before visiting the abandoned home he once shared with his true love Daisy. He leaves a note for her, hoping she will turn up at his motel room . . .

Building to a notorious climax, the film presents one of the frankest and most insightful portrayals of male sexuality and male heartbreak ever seen in American cinema.

Vincent Gallo is a true artist in multiple mediums, and the most misunderstood, misquoted, misrepresented talent of his generation.

This is the first and only Blu-Ray release. Art Direction and Design by Vincent Gallo. The Brown Bunny comes in a cardboard digipak, each hand numbered and signed by Vincent Gallo, limited to 250 copies. The Blu-Ray is housed inside a Kraft self-seal padded mailer with a sticker, featuring a note from Vincent Gallo about The Brown Bunny and the culmination of reflections, media and beyond since the release of the film in 2003.

This piece of art is intended for adults only, due to mature content and nudity on the cover.

Strict Limit of 3 per household

Due to various issues with the USPS as of late along with the limited nature of this distributed title & that we do not have extras jackets, these must ship via priority mail. Priority mail is both quicker & comes automatically insured.

Due to a variety of reasons, we are currently not able to ship to Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and/or Australia so any order placed from those countries will be canceled.

Thank you for understanding & sorry for the inconvenience.

Please be aware that this release is in hand & will begin shipping next week (October 2021)

Is it bad that I kind of want to get this, if only as a curio piece for my collection?

I’m so bad with money I don’t have.

I think the operative phrase in that description is "Building to a notorious climax...", but YMMV

If I recall correctly, a lot of it was done by John Frusciante. I remember trying to track it down years ago, but it was OOP, and going for stupid money.

I watched this (well, skipped to the notorious scene, if I'm being honest) years ago. I've heard two differing stories on weather or not it's real. I'll say that it certainly appears to be legit, but you'd probably never know otherwise unless you were on set.

At that price and packaging (cardboard digipak), I'll just stick with the DVD, thank you. Can't say I really like the movie. I just feel I should own it for its infamous notoriety.

that was really the only point of interest for me. the other tracks are cool, too, but i'm fanatical about Frusciante

Hmm.. I wonder who wrote that and felt it necessary to put it in the description for this release.

Frusciante is the GOAT! He's actually my favorite guitar player, but I'm such a poor player that I can only play a few short licks of his.

I was fortunate enough to see The Peppers live around three years ago. Of course, that is when Josh Klinghoffer was with them, but it was still a great show. Although, admittedly, I would rather have seen them with Frusciante.

By the way, if you haven't (and I'm assuming you have, because you're aware of this) yet checked out his solo stuff, it's quite good.

Niandra is my favorite of his solo stuff, just due to the craziness of hearing this guy exorcise some demons at such a young age. The first time I heard this record,
[Show spoiler] I was really (and I can't stress this enough), REALLY high and
a friend of mine threw it on. It was damn near a religious experience for me. Transformative almost. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but I had an experience of some sort.

His other solo stuff is really good as well. He did some stuff with Josh, prior to Josh becoming an official member of the Peppers, and it's great. I recommend all of it (save the Trickfinger stuff) very highly.

First off, how is there nudity on the cover when it's in a brown paper digipack?

What if this turns out to be the original extra-long version that Ebert hated so much?

I'm so tempted to get this, extreme price regardless, I must be insane.

I do like this movie for non-prurient reasons (not that those are bad, but the internet satisfies those much better than this movie does), but I can't justify that price.

The most compelling aspect of this title for me is the meditative quality of the driving footage. I find it very relatable due to my own road trips, and I like the documentation of the American landscape (both natural and commercial) presented without comment.

Vincent Gallo promotes “The Brown Bunny” in this interesting interview by Howard Stern. The video contains some mild NSFW content.

If this were indeed the longer cut, then I might bite the bullet and pay the $80 they want (they didn't add tax for my location).

I bought both the blu-ray and the vinyl. I am a lunatic but have been wanting both a blu-ray and vinyl forever now. I sold my DVD over a decade ago and regretted it for so long.
