Just because a bundling deal was worked out for the U.S. market, doesn’t necessarily mean the stars would align to allow it to happen in other jurisdictions.

Warner Bros distribute Superman TAS and Batman TAS physically and digitally in Canada and UK. I can't think of any reason for them to exclude digital codes for our releases of these shows.

Exactly! Not only that but I have plenty of other WB shows/movies that include digital copies. Batman Beyond had one. Scooby Doo Where Are You had one. Every HBO show I own has one.

This literally makes zero sense to me. They went out of their way to add LESS value to these sets. Not only that, I could easily buy a copy from Amazon.com and the digital code would still work.

I'm new here, and I'm actually a huge fan of Krypto the Superdog as a show, but there's been no public fixed news or indication from WB on if the complete series will actually finally get a complete series release or not, even with the League of Super-Pets movie nearing release.

Does anyone here know such fixed info on if such a release is actually likely to happen at all, and how the news could likely be broken if there is any on the series? I'd appreciate the help.

Amazon is price matching Target B2G1 with this item via coupon. Good for when you don't have similarly priced items to purchase during that sale.

There's no news but it's logical that they would put it out to coincide with the movie and boost sales a bit. Krypto and The Batman are two of the few DC shows that haven't come to Blu-ray yet and they both have tie-in potential next year, so it's a safe bet that WB will take advantage of that.

Sounds reasonable, but there's still the question of what label of WB's out of the home entertainment and archive ones will likely release the two shows on both DVD and Blu-ray, and due to there being no news at present if an actual announcement will ever be made on the matter in the future, especially on Krypto itself.

By the way, due to the negative reception that League of Super-Pets is currently getting online so far as well as it getting released in the same month as Marvel's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, I fear that the movie will bomb and if it does, that could possibly affect Krypto the Superdog's chances of ever coming to physical media as a complete series, if no such release for the series does come out prior to the movie's premiere, of course.

If Krypto gets released it will probably be through Warner Archive, but they might give The Batman a normal release, since it's Batman. Fan reception for unreleased movies don't really matter in these cases. Putting them on Blu-ray would be part of the marketing for the new movies to boost interest in the characters and make a quick buck from fans of the shows. Both shows are also already available to watch in HD on iTunes (and probably HBOMax too) so it wouldn't take much effort from them to throw them on a disc.

Ah, I see. And it would make sense on KTS' end for Warner Archive to release it since the show was originally produced in widescreen, and that Legion of Super Heroes, which was another show that went over a decade without a complete DVD release was released via that label last year.

By the way, speaking of digital distribution like iTunes, Krypto's complete series consisting of both Seasons 1 and 2 is available to buy on platforms like YouTube and Amazon here in the UK, (that country of which has no DVD release for KTS is available at all, by the way, but who knows? That could change in the future) but Season 2 itself isn't yet on digital distribution in countries like America for unknown reasons, (it wasn't even available in the UK until late 2018/early 2019) so I'm wondering how that's gonna affect worldwide physical distribution in those countries. Oh, and the series is also available on HBO Max, but only in Latin America at present from what I know, and its widespread release in other countries like the US is also currently unannounced.

So were there later DVD releases of the DCAU that omitted the commentaries? How does one tell them apart? I checked out some of the old DVD versions from a local library to see what commentaries were omitted from the STAS Blus, and the commentaries were MIA!

The complete series sets don't have them, but the Volume sets should.

Is The Batman most likely to be released by next year on BD? I actually enjoy that series more than Batman Beyond and Superman TAS.

It's weird that it's not available everywhere. I don't know what WB/Warner Archive's distribution is like outside of the US, but if it comes out at all the discs will be region free. If they're ever going to do it I think next year would be the time.

They did, but those are arguably the lesser Batshows (at least in popularity), and they didn't have tie in potential with an upcoming movie. It's also wishful thinking on my part, if it comes from Warner Archive there won't be a digital copy, and I'm building a collection on Vudu of all of the Bat related media.

I'd say it's chances of getting a Blu-ray release next year are good. It's one of the last DC cartoons to bring to the format and it shares the same name as the new movie.

BTW I intend to look out for any internet retailer listings or even some press releases from WB themselves (https://www.warnerbros.com/news/press-releases), since they have given them for DVD releases in the past, by the way, since part of me feels that if/when any news does come on Krypto itself on that format, it will probably get announced via those means.
