I would get the Zeta Project on blu-ray.

That's a ridiculous statement - the missing Jack Kirby text is going to be a deal breaker for the entire set? Talk about dramatic...

Also curious, for the included commentaries, is how the episode will switch from the HD version to the SD version when a commentary track is selected. Basically, you can't watch/listen to the commentaries in high-definition. Instead of dedicated audio tracks for the commentaries included on the set, they're separate standard definition versions of the episodes with just the single audio commentary track hard-encoded. Another confusing production decision.
What? Ugh, gotta do the muxing thing again.

The review also says the error version of Apokolips Now Part 2 is on the set:

Wow. That's a lot of omissions. I'm still going to part with my DVD set, but I don't feel good about it like I did with my BTAS and BB DVD sets.

The source for the opening might not be available in the WB archives, which would explain the upscale. I'm not entirely sure, but I fuzzily recall that the opening had been done before the show was even greenlit and in production and was part of a POC presentation for WB execs to see what they might be paying for. When JL came around, they instead did a faux pilot, to showcase the designs and digital animation system that was going to be used and the opening credits were developed after the show went into production.

I wish they would include a feature length version of The Last Son of Krypton. We didn’t have the WB network when this and Batman Beyond made their debut and I had to rent the VHS releases to see their first episodes. It’s jarring for me to watch them in parts.

Static Shock though was great and worthy of getting a blu. It was a well written and fun show and had some cool crossovers with the other shows.
I think static shock will hit blu ray eventually because the complete series is available on hbo max.

Is the 3 parter version missing anything?

Greetings All. I purchased Superman:TAS Blu Ray at Walmart today not realizing it was on the shelf a day earlier than the release date. I tried to redeem the digital code, and it says everything worked, and the code was "redeemed", but when I do to Vudu, it says no entry exists for this product? Is it because I did it before the actual release date? When I go back to WB it says the code was already redeemed by Vudu...?

Hopefully it will be there tomorrow...

I seem to recall in a commentary (can't remember which one) the subject of the opening came up. Timm stated that it was a clip show because they ran out of time. They had fully intended to come up with an original opening like they did for the original run of BTAS, but they simply didn't have the time. That would explain why the opening only has two newly animated shots.

I bought the set on Sunday a week ago and the same thing happened to me. I contacted WB and they gave me a huge ass hurdle to jump through to get my digital copy.

Have a $20 gift card from amazon, I will order once Black Friday gets closer, I know it won't be on sale, but if it's at least 10-15 dollars less, that's a win for me!

Hopefully next year WB releases The Batman and Static Shock.
What else are we missing from the DCAU?

I’m in the same boat. My copy came in from Best Buy today and I redeemed my code. The code says redeemed but it isn’t in my VUDU library.

Some people reading and responding to this thread should be made aware that studios/distributors have a looooong history of not porting over certain bonus features previously on earlier DVD releases, etc. It happens. It's not cool, but it happens a lot. So this is not a unique case, here. Sometimes there are rights issues that come up, but in this case, it shouldn't have been a problem...so it just feels lazy.

And as I've said, Warners has for some reason never really respected this series as much as it should be.

But someone in Quality Control neglecting to retain the JACK KIRBY dedication/frame, however... THAT is pretty unforgivable.
