My recent order is delayed as "Closer to the Edge 3D" was back-ordered...... Next time they have a good sale I'll try picking up a few that wouldn't ship this time. Does anyone have experience with their "unable to deliver". Might that change if they restock? I'd love to pick up the Hornblower series..... unless they don't restock.
@ jkoffman - thanks for the telephone number advice. I'll try that next time I have trouble submitting a customer service request. In my account the number is +1 330-785-XXXX but that didn't work in the form. |

Maybe I misunderstood your original issue. Are you having trouble contacting JB through their CS request form or having trouble checking out due to them not accepting your phone number?

It was both. My customer service request wouldn't work due to my phone number and a number of blu rays were not available for delivery to my address. I tried a number of iterations of my phone number before I could submit a customer service request.... which was odd since it was ok when I managed to find items that would ship to me and check out... hopefully their warehouse will restock at some point in the future for items that wouldn't ship.

Yeah, it's not friendly at all. Usually it will tell you at checkout what items cannot be shipped. Plus, certain combinations of items show higher shipping rates than other combinations. You might do better to ship 3-6 at a time. It's a major hassle, but that's what we do for deep deals, I suppose.

I received 1 of 3 Black Friday orders yesterday in the US. Surprising fast, pre-Covid speed—the others shipped a few days later so it’ll be interesting to see when they arrive.
I understand that the int’l shipping limitations can be frustrating but I love JB and I’m thankful they ship so much internationally. I used MightyApe for years but they never had comparable deals. |

I ordered a bunch of titles to ship to the US. Then I went back an hour later to pick up a few more. Suddenly, none will ship to the US. I tried adding titles I'd just ordered successfully. Same problem. Their website could really use some work.

It's ridiculous, and after the huge shipping kerfuffle during the worst of the pandemic in Australia, I'm not sure why they bother even selling to the US right now. I can't imagine it's that much business for them. Like a lot of BD shopping right now in general, it feels very get-them-while-you-can to me.

I just tried checking out and it shows as available to ship to me. It did reset the default address because the last one I entered was when I was playing around with it to help someone else in the forum. So I had to manually choose my account address from the dropdown. Maybe play around with that, enter your address again, etc. I'm not aware of anyone coming up with a single solution for this, but lots of people here have run into the issue. All I know is that I got it dialed in the first time I ordered from JB and it's never been a problem for me since. There is a different issue where they won't ship certain items internationally, but you get an error message for those when you try to checkout, and that seems to be because of low stock or warehouse location.

Availability was very wonky as I tried both my Australia and US addresses. I eventually was successful with my US address after re-entering it a few times. This must relate to their warehouse software/web shop integration. |

A rep told me that international orders are the lowest priority for triage (since they have many retail locations, etc) and that pandemic has made this even slower. I don’t know how accurate that is—but yes it’s slow, and yes they always make good on their orders (eventually).
