I have enjoyed many of those films, but Apollo 13 I've watched the most.

Yes, but which did you hate the least? Would that not be his best?

If I had to pick one I guess it would be Splash because Daryl Hannah is always good to look at no matter how bad the movie she is in.

most of Ron Howards films always seem to be missing something for me--

they're good but not great--

my favorite? APOLLO 13

runners up--

A BEAUTIFUL MIND and RANSOM

Really? What a surprise!

[Please note that the above statement is not only laced with sarcasm, it has also been filled with sarcasm much in the same manner in which a Twinkie is filled with creamy goodness.]

You'll get to notice that DVDave hates everything that has to do with film oriented entertainment.

I don't see "The Paper" or "Night Shift" on the poll. Two of my faves!

I liked Apollo 13 the best with A Beautiful Mind taking 2nd and Ransom in 3rd. Backdraft is as far from reality as you can get.

Had to be parenthood as it is so real. Did not know it, but I have all of his films on DVD. Some good ones, Ransom, some OK Splash and some bad Da what do you call it code.

Frank Langella's performance was more top-notch. I strongly recommend that you watch it.
