In my Top 10 list for the year, I have it at number 4. There was much to like about the performances of Sheen and Langella, both played their respected characters extremely well. The story was intriguing for myself because I hardly know anything about Nixon after Watergate. It was intersting to get a second look at the man himself. The film did a good job not showing too much sympathy or casting him in a good light, I think he was given a fair point of view. There are some absolutely hilarious parts in the film too, which is always something that I welcome.

Is it too hard to post your opinion and then ask if people agree or not? All these "thought provoking" threads are really getting out of hand.

Who said it's illegal? Not me. I said it's getting out of hand. Every thread you start is just a question. "Is xxxx xxxxxxx overrated? What do you think?"

As for the poll, I would say that A Beautiful Mind is his best film to date.

I actually have yet to see A Beautiful Mind, so I picked Willow.

I didn't really like Frost / Nixon. If the Academy wanted to nominate a filmed play, I think Doubt was the better of the two.

I like the performances from the leading actors, but found that the When Harry Met Sally-esque interviews distracted from the film more than they helped. I would say a solid 8/10.

I chose Apollo 13 in the pole because it did a great job of building the suspense even though we all knew what was ultimately going to happen.

I think Frost/Nixon was a great film with amazing performances by Michael Sheen and Frank Langella. It is not in my top 10 for the year but nevertheless it deserves all the nominations it has gotten.

My favorite Ron Howard film is Apollo 13 and I can't wait until it gets a Bluray release!

Frost/Nixon was ok. The only part of the movie I really cared for was the last 30 mins. or so everything else was blah. Fantastic performances all around though.

I thought A Beautiful Mind was Howard's best film.

And I haven't seen Willow.

Oh... and why on earth is Angel and Demons on there? Let alone, why did someone vote for it?

Frost / Nixon for some odd as hell reason gave me hope that you can get things accomplished. It was playing at the dollar theater here in town last week and I watched it back on Wednesday. I liked it.

Is there a reason you're putting the year of production in parentheses (2009)?
