Wow, I guess he doesn't like the movie, but at least is another good Blu-ray transfer! I thought this movie was awesome. Also, I skimmed over this and he never really touched on the important thing--how does Halle Berry look in glorified HD goodness?

I don't understand the hate for this thing at all. It's over the top, fun junk and it's downright glorious in HD.

This movie was made before 9-11 happened.

Listen to some of the stuff the Travolta character says in this thing and put it in post 9-11 context. It'll get to you.

It'll make you think.

But forget about that: It's raucous, loud, over the top fun and it's great in HD.

I was blown away by the HD-DVD of this thing. Warner has done a great job for both formats, so I'd be shocked if this BD wasn't as good as its HD-DVD counterpart. The spec on that page says they even used VC-1 for this BD and the review is good, so I say go for it!

I highly recommend it myself.

This is a reference HD-DVD title so this could end up also being an early reference BD title...

If the BD looks as good as the HD DVD this is a must have demo disc IMO. Halle is gorgeous both in the scene with her bright red dress and when she's topless.

There are several reasons to get this disc (whether it is BD or HD-DVD) and two of the reasons are Halle Barry!
