Teenage Rachel (Lindsay Lohan) is a real thorn in the side of her mother, Lilly (Felicity Huffman). More than just rebellious, she is incorrigible. After Rachel crashes a car, Lilly decides to haul the girl off to a place to which she vowed never to return: Her own mother's (Jane Fonda) Idaho home. Georgia, the family matriarch, lives by a strict code and expects all under her roof to do the same. Given structure and purpose, Rachel's anger at the world begins to subside.

The only thing I remember from this movie is when Lindsay Lohan tells the mean girls that she is going to find their boyfriends and f*ck them stupid.

Yes!!!! I recently re-watched this for the first time since I was a kid.. like two weeks ago when it was free on tubi (looks to be gone now). But I still enjoy it as a young adult.

Always loved this movie even if it's a bit tonally strange. It's def Lindsay's best performance. Do Shout Selects titles usually come with new bonus features or anything like that?

It’ll be the same commentary from the original dvd release, and no it doesn’t touch on that.

This is a true underrated movie imo, all 3 of them deliver GREAT performances.
Def getting it but wish they bothered putting together a better cover/artwork though

It's not really their fault, they're just using the original poster.

But that's always the complaint about being lazy just reusing the old cover art, except for the complaints about revisionist covers when they don't use the original Poster art.

I LOVE this movie! They all are great in it, and I really enjoy it. I can finally replace my old DVD copy! This is a day one for me.
