Series edited on MOD never include digital codes and they are always costlier than regular series, hopefully, there will be a full series bluray boxset that will give you a better price than buying them individually.

I'm perfectly fine without the theme being in the opening credits, usually skip anyway. Not going to let a little thing like that put me off enjoying a whole lot more

I don't get why they couldn't have ported over any of the extras on the Season 8 dvd or the bonus disc in the Book of Shadows set.

CBS would have to license the theme Song for Season 8 again. They didnt do that for DVD which was very popular back then.
Nowadays physical Media are dying. And CBS only releases Charmed through MOD Releases and didnt show much interest in releasing the show at all on Blu Ray.

I bet without the German Koch Discs they wouldnt have even continued with the Mod Releases in the US. Because they made the deal that they can use the Koch Disc Masters. After that they announced more MOD US Releases. But before there was nothing for a looooooooooong time.
Yes they changed some errors on the koch masters. But changing Errors in an existing master is of course cheaper than to do the whole master.

For me its clear what happened:
Someone at moviezyng and/or CBS was confused because they changed back the songs DURING the episodes on the english Audio to original instead of the Streaming Music. So because of this confusion someone told people that the theme song is back. In reality its only the songs during the episode.
Thats all what happened here.

It was odd to even read that Season 8 will get the theme back. I couldnt believe it actually. And sadly i was right.
I would have loved for all US Fans if those infos would have been true.
But it was not very realistic.....

We are just lucky CBS already had the theme song under contract for the previous 7 seasons.

The show was supposed to end at S07, then it got picked up for renewal for S08. CBS only planned the theme song in the contract to be used up until S07 for home video (DVD/Bu-ray) and they never bothered renewing the contract for 1 last season thus the whole debacle.

We thought, thks to Ella and her MZ customer service reps, that CBS actually re-visited that contract and paid the fee for it to be used on S08 blu-ray. Clearly, we were misled/ end of story.

Is it confirmed that there's a complete series set coming out in the U.S. still? I'd rather wait for that but seasons 6, 7, and 8 of this are really cheap on Amazon right now and I don't want to miss out on those if there's no complete series set coming.

I got tired of waiting I ordered them on Amazon as well just need to get seasons 4 & 5 which are sadly more expensive than the rest for some reason.

Yes seasons 6-8 are on good deals on Amazon. About the complete series blu-ray set as i know it will come early on the summer, i guess soon there will be announcement

It may be BD-R, but lately MZ's been sloppy with their info on that. Stuff has definitely been BD-R from the start without having the notice and some has been pressed when it says BD-R. It could be that since season 2 and 3 have always said BD-R on their individual season product pages, they just copied it over without looking into it further.
