One more question: Anyone else's Amazon order delayed a week even though you can order it right now and supposedly get release day delivery?

I'd normally cancel and reorder when Amazon plays stupid games like this but I used credits on it and I don't want to lose those.

It’s most likely just Vudu/GP (only Dementia 13 release has had iTunes option). Though I would wait to redeem when it’s been confirmed to redeem HDX since Vudu only has SD for purchase.

So watched this last night and what a blast. I haven't watched it in awhile in the hopes it would get a US Blu-ray, so again, it's been awhile. However it felt like visiting old friends. May not have seen each other in years, but everything feels normal within minutes. The movie has a ton of style and while it may feel slightly convoluted at the start, it eases into the plot and by the end you're really invested.

As mentioned yesterday the PQ is good, but a really old scan at this point. It reminded me of the Terminator 2 release with the grain. Slightly soft, but still looks really good with the grain. It might be the best encode I've seen from the Vestron line from the titles I've seen.

I watched the Michael Ironside and Clancy Brown interviews first, as they were a little shorter. Both have nothing, but praise for the film and their experience on set. Michael Ironside's role was apparently cut a lot, and the funny thing is that he's already in the movie A LOT.
Hopefully, this releases introduces this film to a lot of new viewers.

I wouldn't say not getting a slipcover is technically a problem because, there's nothing wrong with the Blu-ray. It's just your copy didn't have a slipcover.

The DVD was full screen 1.33:1, so a widescreen presentation of this movie is an upgrade, regardless of how it look. It doesn't have to be perfect.

I will say that colors look more muted on my computer screen, while they look a bit more vibrant on my TV, so take that into consideration when looking at the screenshots.

Based on your pics, the PQ isn't going to "wow" anybody, but it looks fine and isn't distracting in any way. I'd call that good news.

Yeah, it's not going to knock anyone out of their socks, but it's fairly good overall. Very organic, clean, with enough detail. It looks much better than Johnny Handsome which was a Hill released close to this and also by Lionsgate.

I was about to order this from Japan, glad I waited. Pre-ordered it as soon as it was available, should have it Tuesday. Nick Nolte gets sh!t on a lot these days, but he is a great and very underrated actor. Looking forward to rewatching it, it's been a long time...

He does? Why? Was there some scandal I didn't hear about? Did he start doing crappy movies I've never heard of.

As far as I can tell, his career remained consistently good.
